Pages are printed on one side with biographies in English and Chinese, with brightly colored portraits of the scholars painted on silk panels bordered with cream ribbon. Pages are trimmed in gilt ink at top and bottom. The design of this book make it an ideal display piece, either standing on edge lengthwise or with boards back-to-back and pages in a spoke formation.
