Michael's Books has been a fixture in downtown Bellingham for 20 years. Michael Elmer started the store in June of 1983; it has since grown into a labyrinth of shelves in a 5,000 square foot store with over 200,000 volumes. In the mid-90s Michael's began to serve customers worldwide with Internet sales. Michael's has a Rare Book Room containing over 8000 items to accommodate our always-growing selection of hard-to-find titles.
